This is a unique carved section of rosewood that grew in a front yard in South Florida. It’s made from a single branch of the tree, mostly sapwood with a touch of heartwood. It’s got a live edge, the bark frosted with copper patina. The carved feet also feature copper patina. This series of dishes are called “lil bellies” because of the low-hanging sow’s belly on the carving.
